Comfort One Another

Acts 1:11 "Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen Him go into heaven."

The rapture of the Church, the last history making event while Christians are still on Earth is vastly approaching. I believe we are truly in the last days of this world. People fear the awaited return of Christ . I for one hope for it, I pray for it as Christians are dying a martyr's death daily around the globe. October 2009 the Parliament of Pakistan passed a bill calling for Christians to denounce Christ or suffer repercussions. One deal said if they hire the Pakistani government to protect them they may be safe but not guaranteed. It also stated that a Christian may be killed for their belief in Christ and no law will punish the killer.

The Gospel of Christ is prohibited now in 51 countries around world. Christians there are being murdered for their belief. In Somalia the country is divided in half, the North being Christian, and South Muslim. Muslims are killing the Northern Christians for believing in Jesus at a gross rate. It is time we as Christians no longer tolerate the killing fields around this world.

The Bible plainly tells us in the last days there will be a great falling away from the truth. We are seeing that today greater than ever in the history of mankind. Never have we had to prove God as we do today. Just twenty years ago people would say they were not ready to accept Christ as their Saviour. They would acknowledge God but deny His forgiveness. They would say they knew there was a god but say they are pretty good people and do not need a sovereign ruler. We have always had atheists but never like today. Twenty years ago even just ten years ago we had very few in the public spotlight, today they are trying everything possible to get us as Christians to not be allowed to express our views. This is going on at an alarming rate.

The Ten Commandments have been taken out of courthouses and schools, school prayer is gone and even kids gathering to Bible study is not allowed. There is even a few from the ACLU wanting to make it a crime for thinking of Christ. Imagine someone trying to arrest you for THINKING of Christ.

The days of apostasy are upon us. The suffering Christians the advancing of atheism the spreading of false religions all leading to the day Jesus will come again to take us home. Jesus is waiting for one thing; for God the Father to say to God the Son,"Jesus go and get your bride today's Your wedding day."

The angels testified to the disciples of Jesus coming again from the Acts 1:11 passage. Jesus said," And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself; that where I am there ye may be also." John 14:3 Jesus is giving us the comfort here that He is coming back for us to be with Him always and forever.

He gave us a hope also as we read in Titus 2:13 "Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and Saviour Jesus Christ". He is coming again and taking us home, forever at His appearing.

One out of every thirty verses mentions the return of Christ. The second coming is spoken of eight to one over the first coming. Complete books are written over the return of Christ, those being I and II Thessalonians. Entire chapters from Matthew (24), Mark(13), and Luke(21) repeat the return of Christ message. Isaiah, Ezekiel, The Psalms, Daniel, all talk of the end days leading to Jesus coming again. The Revelations is dedicated to end time occurrences as well as Jesus coming for His Bride.

So what do we do in the mean time? What is our aim for these perilous times? My friends it starts in our own back yards. It starts as we are obedient to our Master and preach His Holy word. Jesus said,"GO YE"' He has told us we are to go out into the entire world preaching in His name that His house would be full. Christianity is not just a feel good thing it is a life style. It is a life we need to take to the streets and give to the world.

For now we have it good here in The United States of America, we may still preach the Gospel in the streets and lead lost souls to Christ. We still gather as we please and worship God in our buildings. But we are the Church, the saved baptized body of believers, it is our duty to win the lost, to show the Way the Truth and the Life (John 14:6) to mankind.

Are you ready for the appearing of Christ? Are you ready to see Him face to face? If so are you wiling to not share the glorious message of salvation through Christ alone? Friends it IS the day we are to spread out and reach lost souls for Him. Now is the appointed time to preach and teach in His name, the name above all names, our Lord Jesus Christ.

Will you respond? Will you pray for God to lead someone in your direction? Ask HIm To lead that certain someone to you. He will supply the words, He will give you the courage to speak your heart.

Jesus said,"I come quickly", how soon we do not know but, it is upon us. Share the Word of Truth today, show someone the love of Christ. And all the people said,"AMEN".
